I haven't posted here in a long time, but that's not because I haven't been writing. I've been putting my time into another of my blogs, Mage Music. Some of the content there might not be of interest to you as it is about specific aspects of the music of guitarist Jimmy Page. Most of the blog, however, uses the context of music to talk about Magick, a process of deliberately creating the changes in your own reality that lead to the satisfaction of your desires. I urge you to poke through the blog from the first posts a little over two years ago, because the basic premises of Magick apply to Spiritual Horsemanship.
Read Mage Music with an open mind. The blog isn't about the occult, black magic or the stuff of wizards that you read about in fantasy novels. The blog is about becoming who you are meant to be. Magick is just another word for changing your reality on purpose by making choices that will lead to where you want to go in life. If where you want to go includes doing so with your horse I think much of Mage Music's content will be useful for you. The word Magick describes a process as well as the result: the wonderful feeling that arises from your life becoming just what you truly want it to be. When you create a relationship with your horse in which both ofyou are happy, relaxed and achieving your mutual goals, that surely feels like magic.
And of course, becoming who you are meant to be is all your horse wants from you. When you are fully in yourself and living a centered, balanced life, your horse can relax and become fully himself. This in turn gives birth to a happy and mutually beneficial relationship in which anything becomes possible - and isn't that what Spiritual Horsemanship is all about?
